Over two thousand varieties of shells can be found such
as Lions Paws, Junonia Volute, Conch, Periwinkle, Corvine,
whelk and many, many others. Thousands of new shells are
deposited on the Island each day by the oceans tides.
- Snorkeling and diving- Snorkling can be done right off
Captiva beach. Dive trips with experienced guides can be

- Fishing: Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Grouper Snapper are all
common catches. Snook Snapper & Jewfish can be regularly
caught off the Beaches if you don’t want to leave the
Island. There are many local fishing guides that will take
you for a full or half day deep Sea Fishing experience.
